Last updated: July 1, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Heirchive, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. We may update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Description of the Service
Heirchive is an online platform that helps individuals create, store, and manage estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. The service provides guided document generation, secure cloud storage, and collaborative features for families and trusted contacts. Heirchive is a technology platform and does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity under their account. You may not share your account with others or use another person’s account. Heirchive may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that appear to be used for fraudulent purposes.
Your Content and Documents
You retain all rights to the documents and information you create on Heirchive. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content so that we can provide and improve our services. We do not sell your personal documents to third parties. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you create.
Not Legal Advice
Heirchive does not provide legal advice. The documents generated through our platform are based on widely accepted legal templates and checklists, but they do not constitute an attorney-client relationship. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time. We strongly recommend that you consult with a qualified attorney to review your estate plan, especially if your situation involves complex assets, blended families, business interests, or questions about tax implications. Nothing on this platform should be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal counsel.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Heirchive to create fraudulent documents, impersonate others, distribute malware, or engage in any activity that violates applicable laws. You may not scrape, crawl, or automatedly collect data from the platform. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile our software, or use the service to build a competing product.
Termination
You may close your account at any time through your account settings. Heirchive may terminate or suspend access if you violate these terms, engage in abusive or harmful conduct, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, you may export your documents through the provided download tools. We reserve the right to retain backups for a limited period as required by our data retention policies.
Changes to These Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should stop using the service and close your account.
